Living on a cruise ship isn't just setting sail into the sunset - it actually comes with a few rules and regulations.
Yup, nothing's ever that simple, and just because you decide to up sticks for good, that doesn't mean you can just embrace the holiday lifetstyle 24/7.
And a woman who decided to go and live onboard a cruise ship with her husband has since opened up about the four things she's banned from doing.
Christine Kesteloo lives onboard with her husband, who is Staff Chief Engineer, sailing as a 'wife onboard' and enjoying living on the ship for free - with even food free too. She's also considered as a member of the crew.

However, just because she bridges the gap between guest and crew doesn't mean she can just rule the roost and do whatever she pleases. Turns out, there are a few exceptions to what she's allowed to do.
Four, to be exact.
Kesteloo documents her life living on the ship on TikTok and shared some of the things she can't do.
No gambling
One rule is Kesteloo isn't allowed to gamble on board, which means no slot time for her!

She explains: "Because it would look a little weird if I, as the wife of the staff chief engineer, won a big jackpot."
No lateness
Another strict rule is she’s ‘not allowed to be late to the cruise ship' - which is a bit of a given.
And just because she lives onboard doesn't mean they'll wait either.

"No, they will not wait for us,” she says. And the same goes for her husband; if they ‘miss ship, someone else will take over the role’.
No filming guests or crew 24/7
With such a large following on TikTok, Kesteloo is also ‘not allowed to film guests or crew just whenever’ while they’re on board, noting it's 'disrespectful'.
However, it's 'a different story' when off the ship, although she still refrains from doing so.

“If there is a crew member or guest that has gone overboard and we do a search, I am not showing you videos of the medical evacuation.”
She also asks people not to ask crew members what happened following such a case.
Giving up space
Kesteloo also gives up her space in guest areas if it’s packed, because ‘it’s just the right thing to do’, and while Kesteloo gets her food for free, she does have to pay for sodas and alcohol - but with a 50 percent discount.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get my hubby a cruise job, please?
