It's not very often that Apple suffers a huge loss, but four years ago, it was bad, bad day for the firm.
At the time of writing, it's believed that Apple is worth a staggering $2.86 trillion (yes, trillion).
A bit like when Elon Musk's Tesla shares drastically decreases in value and he loses billions of dollars in the space of a few hours, for a company (or person) worth so much, arguably losing a few billion is just pocket change.
But Apple's 2020 loss was one of the history books after the company lost the most money ever recorded in the space of 24 hours, according to Barron's magazine.

On September 3 of that year, Apple lost an eye-watering $180 billion in a day - approximately six percent of it's current value.
While undeniably devastating, Apple still managed to claw its way back and was up 65 percent at market close from January 2020, and up 127 percent from that time last year.
Talk about miraculous.
It still had a market value of above $2 trillion at the time as well.

2020 might have been a bit touch-and-go for the firm at one stage, but fast forward to the end of 2023 and Apple was still raking in the big bucks.
By December, the tech powerhouse's stock was up a staggering 56 percent compared to the start of the year according to Rolling Stone.
With this in mind, if you were one of the savvy individuals to have invested in Apple, you could have made a profit of over $7,000 if you bought 100 shares in January and sold them in December.

Not bad at all.
2024 could prove as another good year for Apple as well in light of the release of its highly anticipated Vision Pros.
Preorders for the headset opened on January 19, and by the end of the month it had sold 200,000 devices.

The Vision Pro has largely received positive reviews from tech fans in the States. The headset officially became available to US customers on February 2; a worldwide release date is yet to be confirmed.
While the device has been generally well received - one reviewer made a very good point that this version of the headset 'will be the worst Vision Pro Apple ever ships'.
"It is going to get so much better," YouTuber Casey Neistat added.
