Finally... the day has come where official information has been released by Rockstar Games in relation to Grand Theft Auto VI.
There have been plenty of leaks when it comes to GTA VI, but we've gone years without anything officially being revealed about the game.
That is until now, as Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA VI a day early.
The trailer was meant to be released on December 5 at 9am EST, however leaked versions made their way onto social media the night before.

It didn't matter how many versions were shut down, as more kept popping up.
As a result, Rockstar decided to release the trailer a little early on YouTube for fans to enjoy in true high definition, rather than watching leaked footage.

While the trailer was only 90 seconds long, it did provide a lot of information surrounding the story taking place in the sixth mainline instalment of the famed franchise.
The main takeaway from the trailer is very much the Vice City setting and the first female protagonist to ever feature in GTA, Lucia.
Streamer Adin Ross had a guest on one of his livestreams a few months ago who claimed to be an employee of Rockstar.

While many took the claims with a pinch of salt back then, it appears that some of the information they shared aligns with what was shown in the first GTA VI trailer.
The alleged employee claimed that Lucia would be the 'main character' and that she would be in prison at some point.
Lucia very much stars in the reveal trailer so it's safe to say she'll be the focal point, while she is seen in prison meeting a parole guard at one point.
"She’s gonna basically have a child that she abandons at a deli because she’s gonna go to a bank robbery," the apparent Rockstar employee claimed.

"Then she’s gonna get arrested and go to jail."
"The game’s going to actually start with her in prison and you’re going to have to escape from prison," the leaker concluded.
This piece of information is not exactly evident in the trailer and hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar - though it could certainly be possible.

It should certainly be worth noting that there’s no verification that this person is/was a Rockstar employee, so the claims should very much be taken with a pinch of salt.
One thing we know for sure is that GTA VI will release in 2025.
