Tesla Cybertrucks come with a hefty price tag, but does their qualification as an electric vehicle ultimately make them cheaper in the long term?
Elon Musk's automotive company hasn't always hit headlines for the most positive of reasons, whether it be one Tesla owner pointing out a 'major flaw' with the vehicle ahead of the winter season, or one man walking on his Cybertruck and it going horribly wrong.
However, to give the pick-up truck its dues, the fact it's fully electric is meant to be more environmentally friendly than diesel or petrol cars - even if that means it comes with a hefty price tag too. The question is, after paying the upfront cost, how much does the vehicle cost to run, and is it eventually worth it?
Well, YouTuber Matt Wallace decided to find out, taking to his page to reveal how much a Cybertruck costs to run for 31 days.

Wallace questions: "So how much have I spent in the past 31 days to charge my Tesla Cybertruck? Well, the answer actually may surprise you a bit.
"I know there's a big stigma around EV's that they're super expensive to charge and that they take forever - well, that's not necessarily true."
Basically, Wallace 'got bored' and decided to put it to the test at his local supercharger, checking how much he spent on charge for his vehicle in the last 31 days.

Wallace revealed he spent a total of $32 which charged his vehicle with 634kWh in the past month.
And it's not taken long for people to weigh in, pointing out several other factors which probably need to be taken into consideration too.
A YouTube user pointed out: "Doesn't put into account how many miles that is. If $32 is only for driving 600 miles that isn't very impressive compared to fuel costs for most modern hybrids."

"My cybertruck uses 12kWh a day just sitting parked... lol that's $4.20 a day sitting in my driveway if I plug it in at home. Lucky I have a year of free supercharging," another added.
And a third argued: "Yeah, but that hundred grand price tag across 5 or 10 years maybe... I spend less on driving a 40 year old suburban a month than you lol... Who cares about the cost of gas and the cost of electric when you add in the cost of the vehicle... I will never understand trying to save money by doing that..."
Indeed, another Cybertruck owner revealed one full charge of his vehicle cost him a pretty shocking amount and took a hefty amount of time to reach 100 percent too.
