Christian Wilkins has slammed 'disgusting homophobic' comments from trolls who criticised him for wearing a white, backless dress at the 62nd Logie Awards.
For those unaware, Christian is the son of Australian television presenter Richard Wilkins. The 27-year-old became an Australian model and reality TV star - featuring on the 2020 season of Dancing with the Stars.
Last month, he turned up on the red carpet wearing a sheer white dress and although the majority seemed to be completely fine with it, unfortunately, there's always going to be trolls lurking around the internet.

Alongside some photos, one troll took to Twitter to write: "STOP normalising this bullsh*t!!! IT'S NOT NORMAL!!!"
Christian replied: "what is happening to the world!!!! masculinity is ending!!! burn everything!!"
Fans also came to his support, with one writing: "Sorry but people deserve the freedom of choice to wear whatever they like. Look at certain countries where women are told how to dress. I prefer democracy over dictatorship every day of the week. Rock'n'Roll."

Another added: "If YOU are what’s considered normal, then I don’t f*cking want it. Your judgment is showing."
A third person also commented: "With all the death and misery going on in the world, this is what bothers you? Get a life and think about the imprint you will leave on this earth. Do you want to leave a legacy or a stain?"
While someone else pointed out: "Who decides what is normal? It may be completely normal for them so what is your problem?

"Focus more on addressing your awful prejudices and be less worried about other people's fashion choices."
A final user concluded: "No, your hatred is not normal. How is a random persons lifestyle choice affecting you personally? Stop finding things to be upset about. Christian looks gorgeous and happy, and thats what matters. Pity you are unable to accept that."
Further addressing the various trolls, Christian told The Courier Mail: "If you met me and attacked my personality, that would upset me, but if you think I'm wrong for wearing a dress because I have a doodle, you're an idiot.

"Not only do I think it's homophobic, but it's misogynistic. It's this notion of 'I'm a man and I'm dressing like a woman and therefore that makes me less.
"That's a disgusting notion. It's 2022, whatever.
"There's nothing more beautiful in the world than someone who feels beautiful in an outfit. It just radiates through you."
