Doja Cat has said she was ‘disturbed’ by her fans’ reaction to her shaving her hair off.
Back in August, Doja Cat whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, showed off her newly shaved-head on Instagram as well as live-streaming herself removing her eyebrows.
Her new look prompted concern from some fans who thought the rapper may have been struggling with her mental health.

However, Doja took to Instagram Live to reassure her fans that she was fine and that shaving her hair had made her feel ‘really good’.
She said: “I’m rich, I’m fine. The whole, like, ‘Are you OK, queen?’ s**t makes me want to rip my – well, I guess the hair that I have left out.
"It makes me want to rip my f**king pubic hair out – I absolutely hate it.”
She went on: “People think that, for some reason, I’m, like, not well because I don’t have hair on my face or on my head.

“It’s just a wild f**king world we live in. Shaving my head made me feel really good because I know that everyone that liked me before my head was shaven and doesn’t like me now was never worth it.”
In another clip she said: “It’s funny to me that people are in any way shocked or taken aback by me being bald.
“Nothing changed, I just have no hair.

“But now that I’m bald and my eyebrows look f**king awesome, people are like, ‘What? I don’t like you.’ And I’m like, ‘Good. Get out of here'."
And in a recent interview with Variety, the 27-year-old said she had been ‘disturbed’ by the response and the comparisons people made to Britney Spears' 2007 head-shaving incident.
“It’s so incredibly disrespectful for people to be minimizing what Britney went through,” she said.

“And make a joke out of something that was very serious and a big deal in her life. Every time I see a comment like that, I can’t compute what’s happening, other than it’s just an awful thing.
“But other than that, when I shaved my eyebrows off and I shaved my head, I remember thinking, ‘Get this s**t off of me,’ because I needed to change something.
“I wasn’t working out and wasn’t really taking care of myself in the way that I wanted to. I was like, ‘I need to do something,’ so I just chopped it all off.
"And I could see the shape of my head. I could see my whole face. I can see my ears, now that I don’t have a wig that’s glued to my forehead.”
