Imagine finding out you have a famous half-brother. And not just any half brother but Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
Well that's what five total strangers discovered when they realised they all share DNA due to their father being WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson.
Rocky had Curtis and Wanda with his first wife Una, before going on to have Dwayne with Ata Maivia. However, he also sired five half-siblings – Lisa Purves, Paula Parsons, Trevor Edwards, Adrian Bowles and Aaron Fowler.

The five half-siblings found each other, despite none of them ever having a relationship with their father, who died in 2020.
Now, the quintet have spoken to Sports Illustrated to discuss discovering each other and their family bond.
Lisa, who is a filmmaker, was the first to discover Rocky was her father and reached out on three occasions to try and establish a relationship; when she was 18, a few years later and again when she was 30. However, the retired WWE wrestler hung up and chose not to keep in contact with the now 53-year-old.

Now, Lisa wants to make a documentary about parents who deliberately separate or cut ties with their children, with a focus on her own life. "I never wanted to run into Dwayne and have anyone know I was his bastard sister," Lisa said.
She went on to add that any time she saw the Hollywood actor, who has had roles in films such as Jumanji, Red Notice and Moana, she was reminded that he was lucky to grow up with Rocky as his dad.
Sibling Paula also tried and had no luck with building her relationship with Rocky. She said: "We just want to be recognised. We sat on the back burner forever. [Rocky] was our dad just as well as Dwayne’s."

For brother Trevor, he first discovered his famous family after years of being told he bore a resemblance to The Rock. In 2017 he eventually tracked down Ricky Johnson, who agreed to a DNA test, which then confirmed Ricky as his uncle.
Uncle Ricky reportedly 'welcomed him to the family', although Rocky never made contact with Trevor or his other siblings.
Like Trevor, Aaron was a lookalike for The Rock and he decided to take a DNA test in 2020, which saw Adrian and Lisa come up as matches as half-siblings, and so he tracked her down online.
While working on her documentary, oldest sister Lisa also reached out and got in touch with her uncle Ricky. She revealed: "He reached out right away, and we talked and I cried, and he cried. And then he told me about Paula, Trevor and Adrian. So I reached out to all three of them. This all happened in one day. I was so excited – what a day!"

Unlike Rocky, Ricky has had no issues with uniting the five brothers and sisters.
Despite the famous sibling, the five half-siblings are clear they’re not looking for 'anything' from Dwayne. Paula added that they simply 'want to be recognised' as Rocky’s kids.
Adrian added: "Dwayne has nothing to do with the decisions that his dad made; he doesn’t even know who we are."

Lisa agreed, stating: "Dwayne doesn’t owe us anything."
