Iconic composer Hans Zimmer made the bold choice to propose to his partner live on stage in London last night.
If you’re unfamiliar with Hans Zimmer, he is the man that has written some of your favourite film scores.
The 65-year-old is credited with producing music for movies such as 2021’s Dune, Disney’s The Lion King, and Christopher Nolan’s Inception.

On Thursday (15 June), fans flocked to the O2 Arena to watch the music maestro at work.
However, towards the end of his Hans Zimmer Live show, he hauled his partner up on stage so that he could publicly pop the question.
You can watch the emotional moment in full here:
The two-time Oscar-winning musician brought his partner Dina De Luca into the centre of the stage, but addressed his fans before taking the plunge.

Into the microphone, he stated to the audience: “There’s one more thing. So this is the woman I love, apparently, she loves me.”
He then turned to his now-fiancé and said: “Why did I bring you up here?
“I was going to ask you something really important. Did you lock the back door? Is the milk in the fridge? Do we have any sorbet in the freezer?”
The German joker then asked De Luca: “Will you marry me?”

Following an embrace, Zimmer said: “Things are working out well, the backdoor is locked. Everything is good.”
He then told his fans that he had 'one little number left'.
He said: “It’s intimate in its insignificance, but maybe not so insignificant, and maybe I quite like it.”

Zimmer launched into ‘Time’, taken from Inception, and performed it with his bride-to-be sitting alongside him at the piano.
Following the concert, a clip of the moment was posted to Twitter with the caption: “Did Hans Zimmer just propose to his gf in front of us???”
However, many social media users are divided on whether public proposals on such a grand scale are necessary.
One wrote: “I’ve never understood the logic of public proposals. An insurance policy against rejection?”
Another said: “Public proposals always feel manipulative to me.”

Despite the negativity, many of Zimmer’s fans have come out to applaud the legendary composer for creating the emotion-fuelled moment.
One wrote: “This man already creates such amazing music, we’re about to see even better things from him now too!"
A second commented: “Hans Zimmer made me cry a few times tonight. Marriage proposal finished me off.”
Another user said: “As if I just watched Hans Zimmer propose to his partner and then follow it up by getting her to sit next to him while he played 'Time'."
A spokesperson for Zimmer confirmed to NME that he did propose to his partner live on stage.
