There is no question that Keanu Reeves is known for being one of the biggest Hollywood actors out there, but did you know about his previous career?
Reeves is in top from right now - well, when hasn't he - as his latest adventure in the John Wick saga sits at an impressive 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed over $350 million worldwide.
Before that, John Wick himself has been a mainstay since the 1980s really, starring in legendary franchises such as The Matrix and Bill & Ted.

But what very few know is that Reeves also played in a band while he was on top of the Hollywood charts with the likes of The Matrix.
Back in 1991, Reeves founded the group Dogstar alongside Robert Mailhouse, who he met in a grocery store and bonded with over hockey, while Bret Domrose and Gregg Miller joined to complete the band.
Dogstar was active from 1991 to 2002, with them actually doing many live performances in that time.

They also released two studio albums: 1996's Our Little Visionary and 2000's Happy Ending.
The John Wick actor handled bass for the group, as well as chipping in with backing vocals.
However, it wasn't all good for the group and Reeves, being pelted with 'oranges and other fruit' by 'unimpressed audience members' during the band's 1999 Glastonbury set, according to a review from the Guardian.
And in 2002, the group went their separate ways, as Reeves started to make an even bigger name for himself in Hollywood.

More than twenty years after they split-up, Dogstar have reunited, with Reeves re-joining his former bandmates.
Last month, a black-and-white photo of the band with a city backdrop was posted to the band's Instagram account.
The caption to the post read: "Last set up on the roof in Lincoln Heights for @dogstarband photo shoot. Exciting news coming soon. Thanks for being so patient."

While it might not mean the band have any new music on the horizon, fans are just happy to see the band are all still friends.
Reflecting on Dogstar in a 2019 GQ interview, Reeves said he felt bad for the other musicians, who he felt were judged for being involved in an actor's side project, but added: "I guess it would have helped if our band was better."
Meanwhile, Robert Mailhouse said in an interview with Vice that the band decided to call it quits as 'the record started doing pretty good and people started to know the words and songs' but he 'wanted to do different music' in a new band with his girlfriend at the time.
