Kim Kardashian confirmed Pete Davidson has had her name branded on to his chest after the pair started dating last year.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star appeared to go Instagram official with Pete recently as she shared an image of the pair together, with the comedian smiling in the foreground while Kim pouted behind him.
Kim opened up about the decision to post during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, March 16, where she explained that while she affirmed their relationship with a picture, Pete has gone as far as to make Kim a permanent part of his body.

Ellen told Kim that eagle-eyed fans had scrutinised the picture and come up with the claim that Pete appeared to have the word 'Kim' tattooed on his chest - something the show host asked her guest to confirm.
As it turns out, the three letters aren't a tattoo at all, but rather a branding - as in, the process of burning scars into your skin. It's a lot to go through, even for a loved one, but Kim indicated that Pete wanted to think outside the box when it came to showing his love for her.

Speaking to the host, she said: 'Yeah he has a few tattoos, a few cute ones that he got but the Kim one isn't a tattoo, it's actually a branding... because he wanted to do something that was really different'.
The idea for the branding came after Pete had already received at least two tattoos relating to Kim, both of which she described as 'cute', but implied they weren't particularly special because 'that's what tattooed people do, right? They get tattoos of what's going on in their life'.
The other tattoos, the exact number of which Kim didn't specify, reference Kim in different ways than her name, with the reality TV star saying that her 'favourite' one is a sentence by Pete's collarbone which reads: 'My girl is a lawyer.'

Understandably, Ellen found it difficult to move past the notion of a branding entirely as she brought Kim back to the matter, saying, 'When you say branding, so like literally an iron thing went on to his body to brand 'Kim'', to which Kim confirmed 'yes'.
I can't imagine the trend of having your loved one's name branded onto your body will take off any time soon, but at least in that sense Kim knows the tribute to her is a unique one!
