Kim Kardashian admitted she was ‘freaking out’ after noticing a mysterious shadow in the background of her selfie, which she thinks looks like the outline of a ‘woman’... although others were reminded of things far funnier.
Kardashian, 42, regularly posts selfies of herself on Instagram, whether it's while simply chilling at home with her kids, or posing with the late Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette.

But there was an unexpected detail in one of her latest, which had people calling on the star to 'move out' immediately.
In the snap, she’s wearing a pink dress that has been pinned around her waist, with her hair scraped up into a messy bun, and lips pursed into a very slight pout.
But many people weren’t looking at what she was wearing, as she’d directed fans to a strange detail in the background of the photo – the shadow of what she thinks looks like a ‘woman in the window’.

Kardashian wrote: “Soooo I took this pic last week when I was alone and now going through my phone I am freaking out noticing a woman in the window.”
Some said the shape was ‘def a ghost’, with one exclaiming ‘I would move out!’, others said it looked a little more like ET.
Others, meanwhile, agreed that it did look like the shadow of a female figure, with one writing: “The Victorian bonnet!! This is [shocked emoji].”

Someone else agreed: “That is literally a woman in a bonnet I—.”
A third wrote: “Why does it look like one of the handmaidens from the Handmaid’s Tale though?”
Another joked that it was her ‘pilgrim era’ haunting her, referencing a popular meme that started earlier this year that featured images from Kardashian’s 2008 photoshoot as a ‘pioneer woman’ for Carine Roitfeld’s Fashion Book 13.
Others also said another of her past looks was coming back to bite her – the Marilyn Monroe dress she wore at the 2022 Met Gala, which was reportedly damaged after use, although she later denied this.

“Marilyn Monroe mad at you sisss,” one said.
Another echoed: “My sister said Marilyn Monroe.”
Naturally, many others were saying the same thing, having been reminded of a classic Keeping Up with the Kardashians moment involving a certain alter-ego used to taunt Kris Jenner.

“It’s Todd Kraines!” one Instagrammer said, with someone else joining in: “Hi Kim, it’s only me, it’s Todd Kraines!”
But there’s one comment that probably wins them all, harking back to a 2011 episode of the show in Bora Bora, when Kim lost an uninsured earring in the sea and her sister Kourtney was the one to bring her back down to Earth.
Yep, you know the one: “Kim… there’s people that are dying.”
