Honey Boo Boo's mother, June Shannon, reveals she has blown more than USD $1 million (AUD $1.47m) on cocaine.
During an interview with the Daily Mail to promote her new series, Mama June: Family Crisis, the reality TV star admitted she became addicted to drugs during her relationship with an ex-boyfriend.
Shannon said her crippling addiction led her to spending around USD $3,000 (AUD $4,418) on drugs a day.

As a result, it led to the demise of relationships with those close to her, and put emotional and financial strain on the family.
According to Shannon, she mostly snorted cocaine until it damaged her vision, at which point she switched to smoking crack cocaine.
And now, she has nothing but regret.

“I say that a lot to my husband [Justin Stroud]. I would be like, "Man, why in the hell did I blow all that money?" I am always thinking about that,” she told the outlet.
“I think about a lot of things I could do with that money. My husband tells me all the time that I can’t dwell on it.”
But now, the infamous coupon queen is back to being frugal and saving every penny while she gets her life back on track.
Despite claiming to be sober for three years, the TV personality still suffers from identified health issues, being hospitalized over severe headaches and dizziness in 2022.

And while she’s had her condition checked out - with medics running multiple tests - doctors can’t determine the source of deteriorating health.
She disclosed that doctors often judge her for her past substance abuse issues.
“I hate that the doctors will look at someone who has been through something in their life, like an addiction, and they think that someone can't change,” Shannon said.

She added: “I just want the answers and I'm not getting them. I’m trying to get into to see the best doctors that I know back in Georgia, but it is taking some time.”
In 2021, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star was charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia after being arrested in 2019.
Her ex-boyfriend was also arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
However, Shannon managed to dodge prison time by agreeing to complete 100 hours of community service.
