Maya Hawke has decided to share with the world the story of how she lied to her dad about losing her virginity - as you do.
The Stranger Things actor, 24, spilled some family secrets during an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Hawke chatted about the moment she got in trouble with her dad, who just so happens to be actor Ethan Hawke.

We’re all guilty of lying to our parents, but most of us aren’t the offspring of Hollywood icons. Hawke’s mum is Kill Bill star Uma Thurman.
"I lied. I said I was going to therapy and I really went to lose my virginity," the singer and actress told Cohen and guest Bryan Cranston on Tuesday’s episode (June 20).
The young actor said her dad had a ‘very hard time’ about her whereabouts the evening she lied.

“He went, ‘Where were you? Where did you go?’” she shared about their conversation at the time. “And I said, ‘How am I supposed to have secrets if I'm not allowed to tell lies?’”
Cohen was clearly impressed by Hawke’s scheming and said: “I would think, knowing your father that he actually respected that.”
And as it turns out, he was right, as Hawke confirmed: “He did! He was like, ‘F**k this kid!’ He was like, ‘Oh, that’s good. Foiled again.’”

If he didn't figure out what was going on back then, he definitely knows now.
Other memories from Hawke’s childhood she shared on the show include her first car, which she joked was a ‘yellow cab’.
It’s totally understandable since Hawke grew up in New York City, along with her younger brother, Levon Hawke, 21.
“I still don’t have a license, but I got my learner’s permit last week,” she shared. “Clap for me!”

Since both of Hawke’s parents are Oscar-nominated movie stars, you may think they’d be super critical of their daughter’s work, especially since they didn't want her to fall into acting.
But as fans can probably guess, they are incredibly proud since Hawke has starred in a growing list of acclaimed projects. Not only is she starring in one of Netflix’s biggest series, she also appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, the Netflix slasher film series Fear Street, teen comedy Do Revenge and Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City.
Ethan Hawke chatted about his daughter’s work and shared his utmost praise.

"I'm so proud of her 'cause I think she does a great job, but I'm most happy for her that she's surrounded by these other amazing, talented young people," he told Entertainment Tonight in July last year.
