Selena Gomez's boyfriend controversially made it into a list of the sexiest men on the planet, and people are brutally saying it's a 'joke'.
Benny Blanco shocked the world last year after the singer announced the pair were dating, and just over a year later, the 36-year-old record producer and songwriter has made it onto People's 'Sexiest Man Alive' list.
The award last year went to Patrick Dempsey, a silver fox with a chiseled jawline, while the year before it went to Captain America himself, Chris Evans... so it has come as a surprise to find the Virginian-born record executive in there.

Although, personally, I don't think Blanco is bad looking at all, that hasn't stopped him from being savagely trolled by 'confused' fans claiming Selena Gomez bought his way onto the publication's list.
The onslaught began on Twitter, with one person typing: "This has to be a joke right..? RIGHT?????"
Another typed: "Selena paid for this."
While a third commented: "Wait… they’re joking right."

Harshly, a fourth quipped: it’s not opposite day cmon…"
While a fifth wrote: "Man we really haven’t gotten a single break this year."
The comments kept coming, with another typing: "Are you kidding me?"

Blanco however, had an interview with People has they detailed his life and how one of the world's 'sexiest' people get about their day-to-day life and how to charm the women.
Guys, you should definitely take this man's advice - he scored Selena Gomez!
"Tell her [your partner] how pretty she is. Chivalry's not dead," he explained.
He then suggested ways to make you look sexier in the eyes of your partner.

Some of these were: learning how to cook, dress with confidence, make your first date about experiences - 'try to create a moment in time', he advised.
Then, he went on to explain other ways to impress your partner, such as being hospitable to everyone, treating your mom well, and so on - he seems like a genuine person.
Thankfully, not everyone was against People's decision - in fact, some people agreed.

"Can’t argue with that choice! He’s got the talent and the charm to match," one person typed.
Another commented: "Benny’s on fire!"
A third said: "Well-deserved spotlight!"
While a fourth wrote: "Good for him (I'm yet to listen to any Benny Blanco song without juice WRLD, any favorites of his tracks or recommendations?)."
And a fifth typed: "He looks fine."
Go on Blanco you king, you've got my backing!
