Benny Blanco is redefining masculinity - apparently hygiene too - and while it helped him land Selena Gomez, not all fans are here for it.
For those who don't know the 36-year-old, he is a record producer and songwriter who - just a year into dating the former Wizards of Waverly Place star - was named alongside some of the best looking men on the planet.

Yes, People magazine included Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, on the list of nominations for its 'Sexiest Man Alive' competition, and although he didn't win, he's certainly gained more fame from it.
John Krasinski, who most will remember his as 'Jim' from the US version of The Office, was named the 'Sexiest Man Alive' - a very worthy winner if you ask me... but not everyone saw it that way.
But Blanco's hat was in the ring, and he made a series of admissions on how a modest man like himself was rubbing shoulders with some of the most chiselled men in the industry, including the likes of Glen Powell, Brad Pitt and Hugh Jackman.
During an interview with People he detailed how he scored Selena Gomez.

"Tell her [your partner] how pretty she is. Chivalry's not dead," he explained.
He then suggested ways to make you look sexier in the eyes of your partner.
Some of these were: learning how to cook, dress with confidence, make your first date about experiences - 'try to create a moment in time', he advised.

Then, he went on to explain other ways to impress your partner, such as being hospitable to everyone, treating your mom well, and so on - he seems like a genuine person.
But what really shocked readers was his confession about wanting there to be an aroma when he walks past people.
He said: "I do a thing where I also don't believe in always shampooing your hair, or conditioning your hair. I'm really clean but I don't shower everyday.
"But some people I know shower two, three times a day, but I feel like the oils on your skin don't have time to rejuvenate and get juicy.

"I want there to be an aroma as I'm walking by. I want it to smell a little bit like man, a little bit feminine. I definitely lean, I think, a little more feminine in every sense."
Of course, people were a bit taken back on Twitter and even urged his 32-year-old girlfriend to bolt for the door.
"Run Selena while you can!" one person commented.

Another typed: "'Want there to be an aroma as I’m walking by' YOU MEAN THE STENCH?"
While a third wrote: "Oh selena girl he stink don’t he ? LMFAOOOO."
But some people got behind Blanco.
One person tweeted: "Honestly, the 'juicy oils' comment has me dead but I get it, everyone has their own vibe."
A second insisted: "People only shower daily because it’s a trend."
Another added: "We love him even more omgg."
