If you're familiar with David Blaine, you'll know he doesn't just stick to simple card tricks.
The magician has performed some pretty insane stunts over the years, including holding his breath for 17 minutes and being buried alive.
However, there is one feat that the illusionist will never attempt again after his seriously problematic experience.

Over the years, Blaine has pushed the boundaries of the human body with his bizarre form of magic.
This includes a truly bone-chilling stunt back in 2000 which saw the magician encased in a 6ft block of ice for nearly three days.
Whilst that might not sound that bad to some, the trick to a huge strain on the 50-year-old's body and even caused him to hallucinate.

Unbeknownst to those watching on, the magician had been unable to sleep throughout the entire stunt and this lead to some serious sleep deprivation.
This is because he was unable to let his body relax, as touching the ice for that long would have resulted in serious frost bite.
Having endured two days, things to a rapid turn for the worse around the fifty five hour mark as he explained on the Joe Rogan podcast.
According to the performer, it was then that his eyes 'went out' in a terrifying ordeal where he lost his grip on reality.

"...Things are moving, spiders going up my arm, and I see people in the ice... voices are talking to me, and I'm talking back to them," he explained.
Even more terrifyingly, Blaine lost all concept of time – thinking hours had past when only a minute had gone by on the clock.
Although he'd originally set out to remain in the block for three days, he had to abandon the trick - falling short by just nine hours and vowing never to do it again.

It’s not the only time his trick has heavily impact his body, with the stunt performer previously dislocating his shoulder after falling 12ft.
Terrifyingly this happened during a Las Vegas show, which saw Blaine climb a pile of boxes before dramatically plummeting towards the stage.
Now, it would have been perfectly understandable if Blaine had asked to be immediately taken to hospital for treatment and called short the show, but Blaine is no ordinary performer.
After the shoulder was popped back in its rightful place, he simply cracked on with the show.

Blaine subsequently posted a video of him receiving treatment on Instagram, simply captioning the post: "Wow that hurt!"
Well, that's one way to entertain an audience!
