Wild Things star Denise Richards has opened up on how starting an OnlyFans account with the help of her husband, Aaron Phypers, has impacted her career as an actor.
After rising to fame with roles in titles like The World Is Not Enough, Friends, Blue Mountain State and Two and Half Men, Richards decided to pivot to her own content creation in 2022 when she joined the subscription service OnlyFans.
The 54-year-old was inspired to join the platform after her daughter Sami, who she shares with Charlie Sheen, joined the site herself at 18 years old. Richards quickly realized 'how lucrative' the job could be, and three years on she's risen high in the creator rankings.

Speaking on the March 25 episode of Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, she said: “I will say that I'm in the top one percent of creators on OnlyFans, so I am very grateful. It's very empowering, especially for someone my age, that people still want to see me that way.”
Richards has found support in her venture in her husband, Phypers, who she married in 2018. He helps run the OnlyFans by taking pictures for Richards, who said: "He's so supportive. He knows what men love, and he'll go through all the photos and say, ‘This is good. Do this. This is what guys like'."
While her husband is on board, Richards did admit that she initially feared OnlyFans would have a negative impact on her work.

However, it turns out that wasn't the case.
She continued: “When I joined OnlyFans, I was very concerned that I possibly could lose some jobs, but it was the opposite. I got more offers. I get roles where I'm like, the trophy wife or the sexy one.”
Unfortunately, her daughter Sami has faced more barriers as a result of her OnlyFans.

On the show, she explained: "I really want to get headshots done to transition into modeling. I've met with a couple agencies, and they don't like that I do OnlyFans. It's so frustrating because it's like, that's how I pay my rent. If you'll take me seriously, I won't have to do it anymore.”
Richards described their differing experiences as a 'double standard', asking: “Why judge based on them trying to make a living while they're trying to pursue their career?”
Thankfully both women have subscribers who continue to support them, and as well as wanting to create content her followers will enjoy, Richards uses the platform as a way to connect with her fans.
“People think that I'm just doing whatever — that's not true,” she said. “I actually look at it as a way of communicating with fans, and not the way that you're thinking.”
