You often don't put falling in love and your dad in the same sentence, but Gwyneth Paltrow is not following that trend.
Paltrow has been married to US TV writer and director Brad Falchuk since 2018 after a previous relationship with Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin.
The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in September, and in a new interview, Paltrow has recalled some sweet similarities her husband and late father share.

"He has things that were reminiscent of my dad. It’s like blue-eyed, Jewish, TV writer, with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor," she said of Falchuk in an interview with People. "I finally chose my dad."
Paltrow's father, Bruce, died in 2002 from pneumonia and other complications stemming from an oral cancer diagnosis.
Elsewhere in the interview, the couple reflected on their relationship as a whole after five happy years of marriage.

Falchuk sweetly described Paltrow as the 'perfect wife', adding: "If she loves you, she is your champion. You doing well feels as good to her as her doing well.
"She literally screams when she hears good news from someone."
It wasn't just the hubby that was dishing out the compliments though, as Paltrow was also full of praise for Falchuk.
Well, she didn't exactly compliment Falchuk, but instead spoke about how the 52-year-old is a big fan of her wellness and lifestyle brand Goop.

She told People: "He loves the shampoo. This summer he tried it for the first time, and he's like, 'This shampoo is incredible. Look how soft and shiny my hair is.' I was like, 'I cannot believe I did not video that.'"
As a result of previous relationships, Paltrow operates a blended family approach which she dubbed as the 'Faltrow residence'.
Paltrow has children Apple, 19, and Moses, 17 with Martin, while Falchuk has 19-year-old Isabella and Brody, 17, from a previous marriage.

Paltrow said she is proud of the way she and Falchuk have their families blended together.
"It’s hard, and it’s not intuitive, and nobody tells you how to do it. You just stick with it," she added.
"Now it’s one of the things that brings me the most happiness in my life."
This isn't the first time Paltrow has opened up about her blended family approach, previously touching on it during a Q and A on her Instagram back in August.

She said: "I did find it really hard at first. You know? There’s no book on this. Nobody tells us what to do. And in fact, all of the existing media around what a stepmother is casts us in this evil, villainous light. It’s kind of like trying to avoid landmines."
