According to the National Health Service (NHS) website, adult women should be eating 2,000 calories a day, meaning that Klum is eating less than half of the recommended amount.
She added that she begins her day with a low-fat breakfast of three poached eggs in a warm chicken broth.
However, many were left shocked by her response, with many accusing the 50-year-old of glorifying eating disorders.

One person wrote via Twitter: “900 calories? Oh really? This is terrible, that's why many people suffer from eating problems because people like her said this without thinking about the consequences.”
Another said: “Uhhhhh really dangerous to publish this and not simultaneously point out that this is unnatural and unhealthy and undeniably disordered eating.”
A third warned: "I do think it’s very important that we talk about how disordered eating is becoming normalized and widely marketed again."
While one defended: “At least she’s honest? it’s better than those models who are like yeah I eat pizza and burgers every day.”

In her live video, the America’s Got Talent judge was then asked to reveal her weight, to which she stepped on the scales.
The scale flickered between 137 (62kg) and 139 (63kg) pounds until Klum ultimately said in a separate Instagram Story that she weighs 138 pounds (62.5kg).
The model stands at five feet nine inches tall, and her body mass index falls within a normal range, per the National Heart, Blood and Lung Institute.

Klum has always been candid about her diet and eating habits.
In a 2018 interview with Entertainment Tonight, when asked what’s her secret to staying so fit, the model said she tries not to dine out regularly, admitting it’s ‘all in what you eat’.
“I don’t really eat out a lot,” she told the outlet.
“I think when you eat out a lot or order food in a lot, it kind of gets a little tricky because you don’t know what people are putting in there.”
