Jennifer Coolidge believes she never had kids because she's too 'immature'.
The White Lotus star told GQ her friends used to encourage her to adopt but she thinks she would make a better step-mum.
"I’m very, very immature, I think that has kept me from having children, because I’m sort of a child. Maybe if I had kids, I would’ve had to have grown up," she told the publication.

The 61-year-old said the decision probably had something to do with her dating life too.
“I’ve never had, like, a laid-back boyfriend that was just full of joy, you know?” she said. “Like, someone who laughs at all your shortcomings. That’s never who I choose for myself.”
The Legally Blonde star is currently single but she's always open to new things.
“I’m single," she told GQ.

“My way of talking myself into a different job is like, well, it could be romance, or it could be, you know, a whole different group of friends.
"Cool things could come out of it.”
While Coolidge has enjoyed a career renaissance over the past couple of years, she regrets not making more of her early success.
"Now that I'm old enough to really look back at my life and certainly my mistakes, I see a lot of those. But I never had any strategy. I just went job to job," she told Jeremy Allen White during Variety's Actors on Actors series earlier this year.

She continued: "I have to say I made the terrible mistake of not riding the wave that I had early on.
"It was sort of in the '90s when I had Legally Blonde, Best in Show and American Pie. And then there was Cinderella Story and stuff like that.
"But there was a moment. There was a wave I really could have ridden but I got really distracted."
And the distraction? Coolidge says she was 'chasing guys'.

"I wasn't paying attention. I just thought I had my whole life. I did get some jobs, but I didn't have a plan. And I think that was a fatal flaw of mine, because it took so long to get anything going later," she said.
While she might not be a mother in real life, Coolidge will always be Stifler's mum.
In her interview with GQ, the actress said she actually lived with Eddie Kaye Thomas - whose character, Finch, slept with Stifler’s mum in the American Pie movies - for two years in the early noughties.
“I wasn’t the love of his life,” she said “He had girlfriends. My bedroom was across the hallway from his.”
