JoJo Siwa has hit back at Tana Mongeau after she appeared to mock the star in one of her latest social media updates.
Former Dance Moms star Siwa, 20, has officially done away with her iconic rainbow persona by rebranding herself a self-proclaimed ‘bad girl’.
As well as donning a new look, the singer has dropped her new single ‘Karma’ which has worked to successfully divide the internet.

As well as receiving backlash from fans for shedding her image, Siwa’s lyrics have been the subject of various jokey social media posts from high-profile influencers.
Mongeau, 25, and 24-year-old James Charles have both posted about ‘Karma’ to social media.
However, Siwa has revealed that only one of them reached out to her before posting the content.

Appearing on The Viall Files podcast, the star shared that Charles had texted her about potentially posting an over-the-top dancing video to her track.
She told host Nick Viall: "He texted me and he was like 'Do you care if I post this? Do you care if I make a dance video to 'Karma'?'
"And I was like, ‘Please do', I was like go in, poke fun.’”
However, while the beauty YouTuber sought consent for his post, Siwa claims that her friend Mongeau didn’t offer the same courtesy.

Following the release of 'Karma', the internet personality uploaded a video singing Siwa’s lyrics ‘I was a bad girl, I’m doing bad things’.
During the clip, she asked her followers: "Do you think she’s ever taken like a Perc 30 and like cussed somebody out?" before erupting in a fit of giggles.
Speaking about the clip, Siwa said: “Here’s the thing about Tana, I’ve loved Tana since I was 13, 12.

“Where I’m confused with Tana is that I have been, not friends with her, but we have been close, like homies.
"I did her podcast and we were talking about having a fun night. For her to go do all that s**t, because she was mocking, so I actually texted her and sent her her own video.
"I said LOL and she just said ha ha ha ha ha."

The performer added that if she were to bump into Mongeau, the atmosphere would be friendly and that she appreciates Charles reaching out before posting.
Earlier this month, Siwa debuted a new KISS-inspired black and white look at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Following her appearance on April 1, KISS bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons spoke out in defence of the star.
He claimed that those spouting negativity were just 'jealous' of the reality star.
“Never be ordinary. Always be extraordinary. JoJo is extraordinary and she looks cool,” the 74-year-old told TMZ in a statement.
UNILAD has contacted representatives of Tana Mongeau for a comment.
