MrBeast has stunned his fans by revealing just how much he spends on one YouTube video.
MrBeast is the most subscribed-to YouTuber on the platform with a whopping 231 million subscribers, so it's no surprise he likes to splash the cash on his content.
It's pretty impressive stuff, and those that watch his videos are very much aware of how regularly the YouTuber - real name Jimmy Donaldson - also shells out real money to those in his videos.
From challenges to games, those in the videos often have a chance of going home a couple thousand dollars wealthier.

So how does he do it? And how much does it all cost? Well, the YouTuber has certainly taken the message ‘you gotta spend money to make money’ to heart.
Recently speaking at a podcast event with the All-In Podcast, he confirmed that each video costs around the same as making an independent film.
When asked what the budget was for each video, he answered: “I think now it is around $2.5 million each video.”

“I don’t think it's that crazy though," he continued.
“Because then they’re getting a hundred million views in seven days. So, in any other media, outside of social media, that got that kind of viewership their budget would be like 50 times that.”
This shows a massive increase in cost for the YouTuber as the figure reported in 2022 was significantly lower.
While the cost can vary video to video, it was estimated that his average spending per video was around $1-1.5 million.

The YouTuber has also explained not every video ends up making a profit and has spoken about some videos that have lost him money.
In late 2021, MrBeast released a video that saw contestants participate in a series of challenges from the hit Netflix show, Squid Game. The video so far sits at more than 561 million views.
“That video definitely lost money, if you factor everything in. That was supposed to be a $2 million video, which was crazy for us,” he said about the video, according to a sportskeeda report.

“We’re like, ‘We’re gonna go f**king balls to the wall, we’re gonna spend $2 million on it’. And then you spend $1.5 [million] and you’re like, ‘Oh, s**t... This is gonna be a $3 million [project], and now it’s $4 million and it’s just like, it keeps going up’.”
Regardless of the occasional loss, MrBeast’s net worth is estimated to be around the hundred million mark so I reckon he's doing alright, all things considered.
