Sarah Paulson has addressed her previous remarks about her living situation with long-term partner Holland Taylor.
Paulson, 49, and Taylor, 81, have been dating since 2015 and they sometimes share some insight into their long-lasting romance.
Earlier this year, the American Horror Story favorite revealed the so-called 'secret' to their relationship on the SmartLess podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett.
"We don’t live together, that’s the sort of secret," Paulson said.

"Holland and I, we spend plenty of time together but we don’t live in the same house.
"We’ve been together for a long time now and I think part of it has to do with, we’re together when we wanna be and we’re not when we don’t."
Her comments sparked quite the conversation afterwards as many people questioned why the celebrity pair don't live together despite having been together for almost a decade.
Now, Paulson has elaborated on what she meant as she joined her girlfriend at the 2024 Emmys last night (September 15).

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, presenter Kevin Frazier asked them about supposedly living apart from one another.
"I have to clarify this because I said this," Paulson replied. "We don't live together meaning we don't own a home together, we are together more often than we are not."
"In one home or the other," Taylor chimed in. "Back and forth."

Paulson continued: "We live together, but don't live together."
The Ratched star went on to say that her previous comments seemingly made people think that 'we see each other once a month', but she insisted that it's 'not like that'.
Meanwhile Taylor added that the 'variety' they get from staying at each other's homes is the 'spice' in their romance.
While buying a home together is something a lot of couples do when they've been dating for some time, another common occurrence is tying the knot; but Taylor and Paulson have no plans to walk down the aisle.

According to This Morning Show actor Taylor, the pair have 'never talked about it with any interest'.
"It doesn’t seem to mean to us what it means to a lot of people," she said on Andy Cohen's radio show last month.
She also spoke about her 'generational differences' with Paulson because of their 32-year age gap.
Taylor said: "We have a big generational difference between us, which worries me for her sake. But, you know… what can I do?"
