Reality TV shows have grown more unique, specific, and occasionally, downright strange.
One example is the infamous MILF Manor, which placed eight mother/son pairs into a mansion, leading to sexual and romantic developments among the 16 participants.
The TLC show was critically eviscerated, gaining a poor score of 14 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and disturbing many potential viewers with its plot summary alone.

However, that was not what happened when Zac Efron first heard of the show.
The Iron Claw actor instead reacted with shock and delight when informed of the show’s existence by Jermaine Fowler, his co-star in the new Amazon Prime movie Ricky Stanicky.
You can see his reaction below:
On an episode of In the Vault over on the UNILAD YouTube Channel, the cast of Efron’s latest comedy was asked about their favorite reality TV shows.

Before the other stars of the movie, John Cena and Andrew Santino, could discuss their picks, Fowler referred to a show he called MILF Island, presumably meaning MILF Manor.
“Is it called MILF Island?” Fowler asked. “That’s a funny one!”
Likely getting the show confused with the internationally popular Love Island, Fowler shocked the former teen heartthrob, leading him to enquire about the contents of the show.

“There’s a show about MILFs on an island?” Efron questioned before adding. “That sounds like the best reality show of all time.”
While Efron’s excitement about the show’s basic premise is not surprising, he did lack the knowledge that all the titular MILFs would be dating each others’ sons while on the show.
Fowler, seemingly aware of the more strange aspects of the show, was quick to let his costar know that it wasn't without its faults.
“It’s funny, but it’s also really really weird,” the Sorry to Bother You actor warned.

Their new movie, Ricky Stanicky, follows John Cena playing the role of 'Rock Hard' Rod, an actor who's tasked with pretending he’s the best friend the other three leads made up 20 years ago.
It's directed by Peter Farrely, of Dumb and Dumber fame and marks Efron's first comedy film for a while after he switched focus to more dramatic fare such as Firestarter and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Also, in case you were wondering, Efron went on to name Alone, a survivalist reality TV series, as his favorite of the genre.
As for the other two, Andrew Santino picked Love on the Spectrum, while John Cena picked MasterChef and gave a quick shoutout to the Man vs. Food series, as well.
