The news that Kim Kardashian had coupled up with Pete Davidson took a lot of people by surprise - but it turns out Davidson has always backed himself.
Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February last year and is believed to have been dating 28-year-old comedian Davidson since October.
On the newly released ninth episode of The Kardashians, which was filmed a 'few months' into their relationship, Kim lifted the lid on their romance (ever so slightly).

The 41-year-old said: "We're doing really, really good.
"Pete said, 'I'm gonna grow on you, just wait.'
"He's like, he knew. He's like, 'I give it four months in and you're gonna be obsessed.' And I was like, 'Okay, we'll see.'"
Fast-forward to the present day, and they still seem to be going strong - so looks like Pete might have been right.
The couple seemed an unlikely pair to many, including Republican senator Ted Cruz.

Saturday Night Live star Davidson has previously dated the likes of Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale, and 51-year-old Cruz evidently doesn't understand how.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast Verdict with Ted Cruz (yes, he has a podcast), he questioned how Davidson is able to attract 'hot women'.
Cruz began by addressing a question from a fan: "The Women's March was this weekend. We are seeing women like Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian – is it time we start talking about toxic femininity?"
And, for some reason, the senator used this as an opportunity to discuss Davidson.

He said: "Pete Davidson, alright, how come that dude gets all of these, like, hot women?"
To which his co-host Michael Knowles replied: "Because of toxic femininity senator, it's the evidence that something's gone wrong."
Not quitting while he was behind, Cruz went on to add: "Pete Davidson was dating Kate Beckinsdale [sic], I mean you're talking Underworld. You're talking super hot vampire in a black leather trench coat and you're like, really? The SNL dude – wow."

But while Republican senator Cruz might not get Davidson's sex appeal, model Emily Ratajkowski does.
Speaking on Late Night With Seth Myers in November, she said: "He's got the height. Obviously women find him very attractive…

"Guys are like, 'Wow. What's that guy got?'. And I'm like, 'I mean, he seems super charming. He's vulnerable. He's lovely. His fingernail polish is awesome. He looks good!'"
No doubt Davidson would swap all of these compliments though for one flirtatious glance from Senator Cruz.
