Robert De Niro’s daughter Drena reveals that her son Leandro tragically passed away from a drug overdose.
“Someone sold him fentanyl laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him,” Drena, 51, alleged on Instagram in response to a commenter asking how Leandro died.
“For all these people still f**king around selling and buying this s**t, my son is gone forever,” she added.

Fentanyl, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is up to 100 times more potent than morphine and many times that of heroin.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse reported that over 109,680 people in the US died from the substance in 2022 as the fentanyl crisis continues.
The mother announced that her 19 year old son had died via a statement to Instagram earlier this week.
"My beautiful sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly,” she wrote.

"I don’t know how to live without you but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama. You were so deeply loved and appreciated and I wish that love alone could have saved you.
“I’m so sorry my baby. Rest in Peace and Eternal Paradise my darling boy.”
De Niro has now addressed the loss of his grandson in a statement, saying: "'I’m deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo.

Leandro was an actor just like his mother and grandfather.
In 2018, he played the son of Dave Chappelle in A Star is Born.
His other acting credits included 2005's The Collection and 2018's Cabaret Maxime.
