Seeing a celebrity in real life is always a slightly weird experience. It’s like breaking the fourth wall on your favorite fictional character.
Seeing a movie star just picking up a coffee in the city rather than speeding down the sidewalk while standing on a motorbike just isn’t that exciting.
But what about when the actor seems to mirror their character’s instincts in real life?

That’s what Tobey Maguire seems to be capable of doing anyway.
The 48-year-old is, of course, known for playing Spiderman in Sam Raimi’s trilogy of movies.
And despite appearing in other major films from The Great Gatsby to Babylon, he’ll still be known as Spidey forever to many of us.
And it appears he’s still got some of his character built into him if this viral video is anything to go by:
Captioned: “Spidey senses are mad real,” it shows Maguire in a museum, taking in an installation.

But the camera pans around the glass box and zooms in on the actor’s face.
And just as it frames his side-profile perfectly, Maguire snaps his face around to look directly at the camera – as the person quickly moves away.
There’s no denying his fast reaction and realisation that the camera is on him is like something Spider-Man himself would definitely be capable of.
And people were similarly quick to react to the video in the comments.

One fan joked: “I jumped when he looked at the camera.”
Another put: “Even after playing Spider-Man he still has his spider sense.”
While others pointed out just how fast Maguire was, with a third writing: “I would dropped my phone lol. why he do it so fast.”

A fourth said: “He’s ready for Spiderman 4.”
"Those Spidey Senses though!" another viewer commented.
However, one commenter said: “You all need to leave Tobey Maguire alone.”
Meanwhile, a sixth pointed out: “Poor guy just tryna enjoy his life and do normal things.”

And someone else wrote: “That look told him to back off real quick.”
Maguire did return to his Spiderman role for Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he and Andrew Garfield both made cameos alongside Tom Holland.
And the three Spideys even have a group chat called ‘The Spider-Boys’.
Holland explained: “Myself, Andrew, Tobey — we have this amazing bond as three people who have been through something that is so unique that we really are like brothers.
“We have a great group chat and we catch up every now and then.”
The trio reportedly bonded over their rather, well, tight costumes while taking the iconic pointing photo.
Garfield told Jimmy Kimmel Live: “I think we got one good shot because the rest of the time, we were just laughing and trying not to stare at each other’s crotches and just comparing bulges.”
