Taylor Lautner says he's praying for John Mayer ahead of Taylor Swift re-releasing her album Speak Now next month.
During an interview with TODAY.com, the Twilight star was asked about the Taylor's Version of his ex-girlfriend's beloved 2010 album.
"I think it's a great album. Yeah, I feel safe," he told the outlet. "Praying for John."

So there's no bad blood here; see what I did there? I'm so sorry.
Lautner, who dated Swift in 2009, was the subject of the song 'Back to December', and the singer details a painful, tender breakup between the two.
Despite that, he thinks Mayer will probably cop more flak from Swifties.

Swift was rumored to have dated Mayer from 2009 til mid-2010 and wrote the song 'Dear John' about the Grammy Award-winning singer.
In the song, Swift sings 'Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone, don't you think I was too young to be messed with?' before adding, 'You'll add my name to your long list of traitors who don't understand'.
Yikes, times a thousand.
Hopefully, Mayer isn't on the internet too much during the month.

The singer-songwriter announced she was re-releasing Speak Now earlier this month, writing to her followers: "I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20.
"The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness.
"I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it."

In 2019, the artist fought hard to gain creative control and even re-recorded two of her studio albums after Big Machine Records, unbeknownst to her, sold her masters to her rival, Scooter Braun.
She revealed that she tried to repurchase them before the deal with Braun was finalized.
As a result, the '22' singer has also re-recorded Fearless and Red, which were both released in 2021.
She wrote in a blog post: “For years, I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and 'earn' one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in.

“I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past."
