T.J. Holmes' wife breaks her silence on husband's affair with GMA co-host Amy Robach

T.J. Holmes' wife breaks her silence on husband's affair with GMA co-host Amy Robach

T.J's wife Marilee is seeking to finalise their divorce.

T.J Holmes' wife has spoken out following the news anchor's affair with his Good Morning America co-host Amy Robach.

Marilee Fiebig has called out her estranged husband's lack of 'discretion, respect and sensitivity' toward her and their nine-year-old daughter.

After photos of Holmes and Robach together were leaked in late November exposing their romantic relationship, both presenters were taken off the air and suspended from their roles.

Both T.J and Amy had been in 12-year marriages - T.J with his wife Marilee, and Amy with her husband Andrew Shue.

In a statement through her divorce attorney Stephanie F. Lehman to The Daily Mail, Marilee confirmed that she and T.J planned to finalise their divorce as soon as possible.

Her statement read: "During the holiday season, and in light of this challenging time, Marilee's sole focus has remained on the overall best interests of her nine-year-old daughter.

"To that end, T.J.'s attorney and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously, and as amicably as possible.

"Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J.'s lack of discretion, respect, and sensitivity toward Marilee and the parties' daughter."

The statement concluded that Marilee is 'touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to new beginnings in the new year'.

T.J Holmes and Amy Robach have been suspended from their anchoring duties.

After photos of Holmes and Robach packing on PDA went viral in November, sources insisted to People that the news anchors's romance was that of 'two consenting adults who were each separated'.

Currently, both Holmes and Robach's positions at GMA3, and ABC News at large, are under review.

In an email to ABC staff members, seen by Variety, ABC News President Kim Godwin reportedly informed workers that neither Robach nor Holmes violated any company policy, but suggested that the company felt the matter was one of ‘an internal and external disruption’ and was cautious about ‘wanting to do what’s best for the organisation’.

A follow-up email from Godwin, seen by The LA Times, read: “I understand that the continuing coverage can be distracting from the incredibly important work our team does here at ABC News.

"Amy and T.J. will remain off-air pending the completion of an internal review, and there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being.

"It is my hope that we will continue to focus our energy on what we do best, and I want all of you to know how immensely proud I am of your hard work and professionalism."

There has not yet been an update on the co-hosts' reviews.
