Jamie Campbell Bower has wowed audiences with his performance as Vecna in the latest series of Stranger Things – but his career isn't limited to the screen.
Yes, you might know him best for his role in the Netflix hit, or perhaps from his appearances alongside Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd or as the character of Caius in Twilight, but he's also an accomplished musician.
Bower, 33, has played in bands throughout his life and has since gone solo with some new music released under the name Jamie Bower.
Before he went out on his own, Bower acted as frontman of the London-based band Counterfeit, and if you're a fan of rock music, there's a possibility you might have even seen him perform.
The band appeared on the Reading & Leeds Festival main stage in 2019, performed as a support act for the band Palaye Royale on their February 2020 UK tour and have also toured themselves across North America, Europe and the UK.
Counterfeit have received high praise from those who have seen them live, with one Twitter user describing the band as 'f***ing incredible' while another dubbed them 'amazing'.
The band went their separate ways at the end of 2020, but Bower made clear his plans to continue his music with a new sound that was a bit darker than what fans had heard previously.
In an interview with NME last year, Bower said: "I’ve always been an artist. I’ve always been the person that’s like: ‘I’m going to go with this hammer and tongs for the rest of my life. I have no real plans or desire to do anything else'.
"At the end of Counterfeit, I was like, ‘Okay, well, I’m just going to crack on and do what I love and carry on doing what means the most to me," he said.
It's clear that Bower has been expertly balancing his music career with his acting career over the last year, with his performance in Stranger Things being celebrated online and used as proof that he 'always understands the assignment'. Alongside spending time as the life-sucking demon Vecna, Bower followed through on his plans to release new music and last month announced the arrival of his track 'Run On', featuring King Sugar.
The release prompted one fan to describe him as a 'truly a multi-talented artist', and with his performance in Stranger Things set to continue over the rest of series four, his fanbase will likely only grow stronger.
