Chilling security camera footage shared on Reddit has revealed that Scrooge apparently isn't the only one being visited by ghosts this Christmas...
The grumpy old Dickens character gets visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future in the popular story, but it doesn't seem like the apparition in this video comes with any particular warning.

One thing seems almost certain, though, and that's that something supernatural is going on in the footage which was shared on the Reddit thread r/Ghosts this weekend.
The clip was shared by a Reddit user who had been sent the video by their mom after she watched it back from her security camera.
The camera was directed at an open area of land next to some trees, where a (real, living) man could be seen rooting around in the trunk of his white car.

Roosters can be heard calling out in the background of the footage, and a few seconds into the video an almost transparent figure suddenly appears in the trees, walking towards the open space.
They continue walking for a moment before coming to a stop and bending down towards the ground, at the same time a rooster calls out with a loud crow.
The figure disappears completely after bending down, with the man apparently none the wiser as he finishes up in the trunk and closes the car doors, before moving towards the house.
Alongside the post, the Reddit user described the footage as the best ghost video they had ever seen.

"My brother is right there and never heard or saw anyone," they said, before adding that there are no neighbors close to the property who would have been walking through the woods.
The eerie apparition is hard to explain, and has left Reddit users baffled and unnerved.
"The fact that the person just disappears as it leans down is very unsettling," one viewer wrote, while another added: "Oh now see this is very interesting indeed. We so rarely get videos on here that genuinely make me think ‘huh, that’s def a bit creepy’."

One viewer admitted they were a 'skeptic', but couldn't deny the footage was 'f**king creepy'.
In a comment under the video, the original poster said it gave them the 'chills' each time they watched it. They went on to insist that it couldn't have been a real person, despite some viewers' doubt, saying: "I don't think you understand how far out in the middle of nowhere this is."
One person who is absolutely convinced that the footage is real is the man who featured in it, who is apparently 'moving out' of the home and 'not coming back' after seeing what went on behind him.
After watching the video myself, I don't blame him.
