People are flooding to social media in excitement, convinced Barbie is lesbian after seeing the latest clip from the upcoming movie.
With anticipation continuing to rise ahead of Barbie's release on 21 July, 2023, new clips from the film are being shared to keep fans hooked.
But one in particular has really caught the eye of Barbie-lovers and left them absolutely certain Barbie - played by none other than Margot Robbie - isn't in love with Ken (Ryan Gosling) but actually has her sights set on women. See it for yourself here:
In the clip, Gloria (America Ferrera) yells at Barbie to get in the car.

Rather than hopping straight in, Barbie and Gloria lock eyes and let's just say it's a whole lot more than just a look.
Think deep breathing, a zoom in with the camera and a look of hope but also confusion splattered across both women's faces.
People have flooded to social media in excitement over the clip, many very certain Barbie is a lesbian.

One Twitter user wrote: "The new Barbie clip... I know a gay stare when I see one."
"Barbie is gonna be gay Barbie is gonna be gay Barbie is gonna be gay Barbie is gonna be gay Barbie is gonna be gay," another chimed.
A third commented: "GUYS WAIT THAT NEW BARBIE SCENE LOOKS SO GAY I WAS KINDA JOKING AB THE BARBIE IS A LESBIAN THEORIES BUT WHAT IF?"

"The realest thing barbie movie could do is make barbie gay bc every girl has made her barbies gay at least once," a fourth added.
However, another theorised: "Everyone is saying this clip shows they r gay but i think america's character wasn't interested in helping barbie until in the clip and that's why barbie looks so shocked and relieved. i do hope they r gay tho."
Even with all of the clips which have been released teasing people ahead of its release, the film's plot has been kept largely under wraps.

And it's certainly expected to surprise us, with Gosling having warned the movie 'is not what you think it is' while on Entertainment Tonight.
Robbie similarly chimed in an interview with Vogue: "With that come a lot of exciting ways to attack it. People generally hear ‘Barbie’ and think, ‘I know what that movie is going to be,’ and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t...’."
At least you don't have long left to wait, the countdown officially on with just over two weeks to go.
