The sequel to 1988 comedy classic Beetlejuice is on its way and fans can barely contain their excitement.
For those not in the know, Michael Keaton cemented himself as a comedy genius to many with his portrayal of Beetlejuice.
Now, 36 years later, he is set to reprise his role in the hotly anticipated sequel, brilliantly named Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

The first teaser trailer for the film, which is set to release in September this year (so still quite a long wait) has got fans talking as they look forward to more creepy but hilarious antics.
This time around it looks like we will be following new character Astrid Deetz played by Jenna Ortega.
On social media, many fans have remarked at just how impressed they are for the trailer.

"36 years later and Michael Keaton hasn’t lost all that charm that makes him Beetlejuice," one user wrote on YouTube.
"The dude has not been playing this character for 36 years and in one sentence makes me nostalgic and extremely happy to see him," another added.
"I was 2 when this movie came out. Now being 37 I can say that I have watched this movie consistently for the past 30+ years AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT," a third wrote.

Director Tim Burton, who is returning for the sequel, previously said 'nothing is out of the question' with the legacy sequel.

He has previously admitted that due to making big studio movies being exhausting he tends to vow to never do it again... even though thankfully he always does.
“That’s why it is hard for me to watch the movies afterwards, because I still feel the emotional whatever of it,” he told the Independent.
“I don’t get a release from that. But I do enjoy all the people I’ve worked with. On this last one, Beetlejuice 2, I really enjoyed it.
“I tried to strip everything and go back to the basics of working with good people and actors and puppets. It was kind of like going back to why I liked making movies.”
