The cast of Stranger Things have been rather open in the past about how well they get along in real life.

And what is the ultimate past time that you can do with your mates? Well, the pub, of course.

But unfortunately for a lot of the Stranger Things cast, they are under the age of 21 - meaning they can't enjoy an alcoholic beverage yet.

And one of those castmates is Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler. Wolfhard is 20 years old, a very similar age to a lot of his colleagues.

But when the next season comes along, the actor expects that he and some of his fellow cast will be able to enjoy a drink.

In a recent interview, the IT star said that he expects to 'be 22' when season five of Strangers Things finally comes around.

Wolfhard got onto the subject of having a drink with his co-stars in GQ's 'Actually Me' segment, where celebrities respond to posts, tweets and questions about them raised online.

In the video, he responded to a fan who commented expressing their shock that Stranger Things is heading into its fifth and final season, to which Wolfhard agreed.

He said: "By the time it comes out, I will be 22 I think. And I started working on the show when at 12. That is insane.

"I'll be able to drink with Gaten, and Caleb, and Noah, and the whole cast at the premiere of 'Stranger Things' five, which, couldn't have said the same thing at the season one premiere, which blows my mind."

When Stranger Things first premiered in 2016, Wolfhard was just 13 years old.

Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp were just 12, while Caleb McLaughlin was almost 14.

But they are all adults now, and will be enjoying that drink together very soon.

It's crazy how time just flies?

Elsewhere in the interview, Wolfhard confirmed that the cast would be filming season five this spring in Atlanta.

He also suggested that season five wouldn't be the last we'd all see of Stranger Things.

"I mean, Netflix is gonna want us to come back in 10 years anyways and do like, 'Stranger Things: The Adult Years' or whatever, so.

"They wanna milk it, they wanna, you know, people wanna see it.

"And I do too. I wanna milk it as well."
