That's right, Hugh Jackman will reprise his role in the third instalment of the Deadpool franchise.
This news comes via a tongue-in-cheek video from Reynolds' Twitter account, which posted a video with the caption: "Hard keeping my mouth sewn shut about this one."
In the clip, Reynolds shared a long monologue about his preparation for Deadpool 3.
He also expressed his disappointment that the team couldn't bring anything to the D23 Fan Expo in early September.

"Hey everyone. We’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next Deadpool film for, uh, a good long while now," he said.
"I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth and motivation, new meaning."
Reynolds added: "Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside, and I…I have nothing…yeah…just…completely…empty up there…and terrifying."
But, it seems he did have something up his sleeve.

At the very end of the clip, Reynolds drops the bombshell.
"But we did have one idea. Hey Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?"
Jackman replied: "Yeah, sure Ryan."
What a way to announce the biggest news since the bromance/love-hate relationship between Reynolds and Jackman began.

Despite apparently playing Wolverine for the final time in Logan in 2017, the adamantium-filled hero will return.
The Deadpool-Wolverine combo will also be Reynolds' character's first first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The announcement also revealed what could be the first official logo for Deadpool 3; the antihero's insignia with three rather Wolverine-esque claw marks slashed across the middle.
So get ready to hold on to your hats, people. This one is sure to be epic.
