Marvel fans get ready because Sam Raimi revealed he's open for a Spider-Man: 4 with everyone’s favourite friendly neighbourhood superhero Tobey Maguire.
While promoting his latest film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, he revealed to Moviephone that anything is ‘possible’ now that he has toyed with the concept of parallel universes.
Raimi said: “Well, I didn’t think it was possible, but after jumping back in with the multiverse, I realised that, just like Doctor Strange does, anything is possible now.

“So I’m completely open to it.”
The interview responded: “And we are eager to see it.”
Many passionate fans took to Twitter after seeing the news, saying a reunion would recapture a little bit of childhood nostalgia.

One user wrote: “DONT DO THIS TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE.”
Another said: “Dad stop you’re gonna make me cry.”
A third commented saying: “YES!! Make Spider-Man 4!! Then show all of us what @Marvel is too cowardly to do -- show us Peter married to Mary Jane!”
However, this isn’t the first time the 62-year-old director has expressed an interest in revisiting Spider-Man with the OG star.

Earlier this month, in an interview with Fandango, he said: "I'd love to come back and tell another tale, especially with the great management they've got there.”
The filmmaker also said that although he didn’t have any current ideas for a possible Spider-Man 4 flick, he’d still love to work with his leading actor again.
He said: "I don't know what their thoughts are about that. I haven't really pursued that. But it sounds beautiful.
"Even if it wasn't a Spider-Man movie, I'd love to work with Tobey again, in a different role."

Tobey Maguire recently reprised the role in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home joining the ranks of Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland.
The film went on to earn US $1.89 billion, which has become the sixth-highest box office revenue of all time.
Aside from being a commercial hit, Spider-Man: No Way Home was also well received by fans and it earned a 93 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes as well as an 8.9 rating on IMDB.

Along with the never-ending storyline possibilities for the multiverse and the film’s earnings, it’s no wonder Raimi is open to returning to this absolute cash cow..or cash spider, we should say.
