Almost twenty years ago, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis woke up to find that they'd swapped bodies.
Sorry, allow me to clarify - their characters in the film Freaky Friday swapped bodies, not the actors themselves.

The 2003 film was a classic for noughties kids who loved watching the 'mum' hop on the back of bad-boy Jake's motorbike, and watching the 'daughter' give her mum's body a punk-rock makeover and shred on the electric guitar.
Nearly two decades on, Lohan is now promoting her latest film, a Netflix Christmas flick titled Falling For Christmas.
The 36-year-old appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss the film, but the pair soon turned to the topic of Freaky Friday after Curtis came up with a plot idea for a sequel last month.
Speaking on The View, Curtis said: "Let me be the grandma, let me be the old grandma who switches places, so then Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma who’s still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon.

“I would like to see Lindsay be the hot grandma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today. I want to be a helicopter parent in today’s world.”
When asked about the possibility of a sequel, Lohan confirmed that she and Curtis would 'both be into it'.
She also revealed that the two actors had actually discussed a sequel in the past, saying: "Jamie Lee Curtis writes you, and you just get excited and distracted immediately, so I had to bring myself back down to earth and be like, 'okay I'm on set, I have to focus'. And then she said, Freaky Friday 2, and I got more excited."

Fans quickly made clear they'd be on board with the idea of a follow-up to Freaky Friday, with one commenting: "I’d be so up for a Freaky Friday 2 and a Mean Girls sequel with Lindsay in," while another wrote: "FREAKY FRIDAY 2 BETTER HAPPEN!!"
Fallon also raised the question of whether Lohan would be interested in returning for another Mean Girls film, though the story would probably have to change a bit to reflect the fact Lohan is no longer a high schooler.
The actor didn't shut down the idea, but noted that the power for a sequel would be in the hands of screenplay writer and star Tina Fey.

Who knows, with Lohan back on screen maybe we could finally get the sequels we've all been waiting for!
