Millie Bobby Brown has revealed she would love to play Britney Spears in a biopic of the star’s life, saying she connects with the singer’s rise to fame at a young age.
Brown, 18, recently starred in Enola Homes 2 as the titular younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, and will eventually reprise her role as Eleven in the fifth and final series of Netflix’s sci-fi franchise Stranger Things.
But for her next gig, she’s said she would love to step into the shoes of a ‘real’ person, having named none other than the Princess of Pop as her dream character.
Brown appeared on a new episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, joining presenter Barrymore in the back of a taxi cab – or ‘Drewber’ - for an intimate interview.

The pair bonded over their shared experiences growing up in the limelight, with Barrymore known for playing little Gertie in ET, while Brown was just 12 years old when Stranger Things kicked off.
Barrymore asked her guest what was on her ‘bucket list’ acting-wise, whether this was for her next project or at some point in the next 10 years.
“I want to play a real person," Brown replied, before naming Britney Spears as her dream role.

“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me growing up in the public eye. Watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger. Same thing with you.
“I see the scramble for words [in the interviews] and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”
Interestingly, it’s an idea that may work, as a number of fans have noticed the similarities between Spears and Brown before.

Just earlier this week, one person tweeted: “Millie Bobby Brown / blonde reminds me of a young Britney Spears.”
Back in May, another noted: “I cannot under how much Millie Bobby brown looks like Britney Spears now.”
Someone else said: “Opinion idk about, Millie Bobby Brown looks like Britney spears with her new hair?”

Another agreed: “Wait... Millie Bobby Brown really does kinda look like Britney Spears.”
Of course, at this stage it's just a pipe dream for Brown, so for now you'll just have to catch her in Enola Holmes 2, which is available to stream on Netflix now.
