Henry Cavill is bringing his love of Warhammer to the big (and small) screen.
Fans of the Argylle star will know that he's, well, a bit of a nerd - but people love him for it.
Cavill has often shared snaps of his dorky endeavours on social media, and even has the patience to paint Warhammer miniatures; an 'almost life long hobby' for the 40-year-old.
His love of Superman and The Witcher has ultimately led to him starring in respective movies and TV shows about the characters, and now his Warhammer passion has not only bagged him a role in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 series, but as an executive producer for the whole Warhammer Cinematic Universe.

Amazon confirmed in December that it had officially signed contracts with Games Workshop (the board game company that manufactures Warhammer) to acquire the film and TV rights to the popular game franchise.
"All we can tell you right now is that an elite band of screenwriters, each with their own particular passion for Warhammer, is being assembled to help bring the setting and characters you love to the screen," a statement on the official Warhammer Community website read.
"This illustrious group will be championed by Henry Cavill, who stands ready to take his place as executive producer – bringing his pen, sword and/or spear to the project.

"TV and Film production is a mammoth undertaking. It’s not unusual for projects to take two to three years from this point before something arrives on screen.
"Still, things are now properly rolling, and you can bet we’ll bring you all the latest updates and cool snippets as soon as we’re able."
In the wake of the confirmation as his role as executive producer, Cavill has labelled it as 'the greatest privilege of my professional career to have this opportunity'.
He continued to tell Josh Horowitz on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast: "I can't say too much, again it's early days still, but to have this opportunity to bring it to the screen and be at the tiller so it can be faithful, is key to me.

"This is the stuff I've been dealing with since I was a kid. This is the stuff I spend my free time daydreaming about, as an adult as well. And I get to bring it into life. And there is no greater reason that I joined the industry than doing something like this, and I'm very happy to be here."
An official release date for a Warhammer series is yet to be confirmed, but some have speculated that it won't land until at least 2026.
