In a rather bizarre interview, Michael Fassbender has revealed he caused a fisting glove shortage when shooting his latest project The Killer.
Yep, you read that correctly.
But first of all, The Killer hit Netflix late last month, and it's safe to say a lot of fans have been enjoying it.
Heck, some film geeks have even called for it to receive an Oscar nomination, with one fan labeling it as 'every bit as major as Fight Club'.

The thriller isn't only directed by the legendary David Fincher - think Gone Girl, The Zodiac and Fight Club - but features stars none other than Michael Fassbender (The Light Between Oceans), Tilda Swinton (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) and Arliss Howard (The Lost World: Jurassic Park).
The official Netflix synopsis reads: "After a fateful near-miss, an assassin battles his employers, and himself, on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal."
Since the release of The Killer, Fassbender has been doing the media rounds to promote his latest project, though one interview took an unexpected turn.

The Killer himself, who is played by Fassbender, becomes known fairly quickly as the man with the gloves.
The discussion surrounding the gloves entered the fray on British chat show The Graham Norton Show, where Fassbender made a surprising admission.
He said: "We tried different gloves, we had leather gloves made but David (Fincher) wanted gloves that were super sleek."
The actor then admitted that the gloves used were in fact 'fisting' gloves, which unsurprisingly promoted a lot of laughs from Norton, his guests and the studio audience.

"You heard him," Norton exclaimed to the shocked audience.
Fassbender then admitted he went through more than one pair of fisting gloves.
"We went through quite a lot of them actually because I spoke to the prop guy and he said, 'There are no more fisting gloves left'.
"We bought all the fisting gloves off this company," Fassbender admitted.

The actor then joked about causing a fisting glove shortage, with Norton admitting he now knows more about fisting gloves that he wants to.
The Killer has been loved by fans and critics alike, sitting at an impressive 85 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Oliver Jones, from The Observer, penned: "The film is a veritable tone poem on the nature of work in the modern world. The Killer is a simultaneously hollow and profound meditation on the numerous ways identity has been swallowed up and voided by the various demands of commerce and brand."

While CNN'S Brian Lowry quipped: "The Killer has an old-fashioned feel and still manages to nail its target by bringing dashes of freshness, wit and unpredictability to this well-worn genre."
