The queen of memes, Nicole Kidman, has set the record straight on the viral photo that seemed to show her 'celebrating' her divorce from Tom Cruise.
While there have been many meme-able moments from Kidman's career, one particular snap from 2001, shortly after actor's split from Cruise was finalized is arguably the most memorable.
The photograph shows the 57-year-old walking down the street with her arms raised as if she is celebrating something.

There has long been speculation Kidman was celebrating the end of her first marriage with the triumphant expression, and now the actor has finally set the record straight.
Speaking to the British GQ, the Australian said it's 'not true' that the picture was taken moments after her divorce with the Mission Impossible star was concluded.
"That was not me; that was from a film, that wasn’t real life. I know that image!" Kidman added without naming the specific movie.

Another Kidman meme, of course, comes from the 2017 Academy Awards, where she clapped with just the palm of her hands.
The iconic TV awards moment was quickly turned into GIF still widely used across group chats to this day.
"I’ve also seen the one where I’m clapping like that," she said.
"Cause I had a massive heavy borrowed ring on and it was really painful, and I was scared of wrecking the jewelry. Ha! There’s always something behind the actual images that go out there, right?"

Elsewhere in the British GQ interview, the A Family Affair star revealed that she’s ‘open to emotions’ more than ever.
“Mortality. Connection. Life coming and hitting you,” she said. “And [the] loss of parents and raising children and marriage and all of the things that go into making you a fully sentient human.”
She continued: "I’m in all of those places. So life is, whew. It’s definitely a journey. And it hits you as you get older how … it’s a wake-up-at-3-am-crying-and-gasping kind of thing. If you’re in it and not numbing yourself to it. And I’m in it. Fully in it."

Them emotions became even more apparent after the death of her father, Antony Kidman, in 2014.
"There’s the mortality aspect of life which, when you start to deal with that, it’s very heavy,” Kidman continued.
When you’re raising children you’re like, 'I gotta stay here. I wanna see all of this. It’s devastating and beautiful and extraordinary.'"
Kidman is going through the grieving process again right now after losing her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, in September.
