Patrick Stewart has teased that he could potentially appear in Deadpool 3.
Yes, that’s right Marvel fans, the acting legend might be reprising the role of Professor X sometime in the near future.
As production for Deadpool 3 is currently underway, rumors have been swirling that the 82-year-old will return to the big screen as the gifted mutant with telepathic powers.

Stewart was peppered with questions about the possible appearance in a recent sit down for pop culture website ComicBook.
Writer Jamie Lovett asked if the rumors circulating online rang true.

Stewart replied: "I've been told to stand by. I know nothing more than that, honest."
Oh, look who’s tryna pull the Andrew Garfield/Toby Maguire wool right over our eyes!
Well, we're onto you, Stewart. He might be trying the 'I can neither confirm or deny' tactic, but in Hollywood speak that often means 'yes'.
Of course, once the internet got wind of the actor’s remarks, Twitter users went into overdrive.

One person wrote: “Oh man he’s in it, this is too much for me.”
Another said: “He's gonna be in it. This movie is shaping up to be amazing and I am so excited.”
While a third shared: “The best way to answer the question really.”
The actor last appeared as Professor X in the 2022 Marvel flick Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness during a brutal battle of the mind against the Scarlet Witch.

But, when asked if he’d be open to playing the professor again during an interview with Variety, he said: “Charles Xavier? Yeah. There may be. You know, the whole X-Men comic series is so huge, so vast, there might be an opportunity in which he comes back. We’ll see.”
However, he wouldn't be the only mutant seeing Deadpool's emergence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hugh Jackman will be reprising the role of Wolverine in the threequel, despite dying in Logan.
During an interview with SiriusXM, Jackman shared that the film wouldn’t affect Logan’s timeline at all.

"It’s all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines," Jackman said during an interview with SiriusXM.
"Now we can go back because, you know, it’s science. So, I don’t have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me. And I think probably to the fans too."
I mean, this little old-time travel device in the MCU seems like a convenient way to chuck Professor X into the mix too.
So, looks like we will have to wait and see. Watch this space.
