A guy thinks he's figured out the plot of Deadpool 3 after lip-reading Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman tease the details in their latest video together.
Ever since it was announced that Hugh would be joining Ryan in the next Deadpool flick, reprising his role as Logan/Wolverine, Marvel fans have been trying to figure out how, exactly, writers would fit him into the plot - especially since the X-Men legend died in the 2017 film Logan.
Best buds Hugh and Ryan decided to record a video for the fans, to explain how the film was going to work but, in-keeping with their usual tongue-in-cheek style, the duo blared Wham's 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' over the entire thing - leaving viewers with more questions than answers.

You can check it out here, but be aware that it's mildly infuriating:
Lucky for us, the internet can *sometimes* be a wonderful place, and it wasn't long before a lip-reader arrived on the scene to put desperate fans out of their misery.
Jimmy O'Brien (@Jomboy), who typically uses his lip-reading abilities to decipher what baseball players, coaches, and referees are saying during a game, was called upon to try his hand at Ryan and Hugh's Rick-roll-inspired video.

"I'm going to do my best to lip-read it", he told fans in his own follow-up video.
"I don't think I got everything perfect, but I think I got the gist of it pretty good."
Unfortunately, if you were hoping to get a better idea of the actual storyline for Deadpool 3, you're probably going to be disappointed with Jimmy's lip-reading work.

That's not to say he didn't do a great job - in fact, it all seems pretty spot-on - it's just that Ryan and Hugh didn't exactly tell fans a whole lot.
"We get out there, and he's like 'grrrr'" begins Ryan. "And I just f***ing catch him and I'm chasing him all over the place and we're going through stuff and through all these different places."
Hugh chimes in: "And we're gonna have this massive, massive, huge, huge f***ing explosion."
It's here in the video that Hugh and Ryan's 'explanation' quickly descends into a mess of fake punches and sound effects, as they mimic Wolverine punching Deadpool in the head, knocking him out.

"I'm totally laughing about it", assures Ryan, before Hugh adds: "And I'm alive too. But you really have to see this because we're in our prime... I'm so excited about this you guys are going to f***ing love it."
So, if you were wondering whether Deadpool and Wolverine were going to fight in this film, the answer is probably yes.
But if you were wondering literally anything else about this film, you're not going to find the answers in this video.
Ryan first shared the news of a Wolverine-Deadpool crossover earlier this week - something that MCU fans have been waiting for ever since Reynolds made his Deadpool debut back in 2016.

The announcement also revealed what could be the first official logo for Deadpool 3; the antihero's insignia with three rather Wolverine-esque claw marks slashed across the middle.
Deadpool 3 will open in cinemas on September 6, 2024.
