A Halle Berry horror which has shot to the top of the Netflix charts in recent weeks has left viewers screaming at their TVs.
The movie in question is The Call, a 2013 thriller starring Berry as a 911 operator who receives a life-altering call.
Following a tragic turn of events she steps down from her role, only to later receive a call from a kidnapped girl (Abigail Breslin) who she must save by confronting a killer from the past.

Despite having a suspenseful storyline and one of Hollywood’s biggest names at the forefront, The Call turned out to be a flop when it dropped in theatres nearly ten years ago.
The film only drew in a modest $68 million worldwide from a $13 million budget, and as it stands it has a 44 percent Rotten Tomatoes score from the critics.
But as we all know by now, a flop in the technical sense does not mean the same over on Netflix, and for some reason it’s been rising through the ranks on the streamer.

The Call has been dominating the Netflix top 10 list over the past week, with dozens of viewers taking to Twitter after seeing it for the first time.
“Wow The Call on Netflix got me SCREAMING at my tv,” wrote one fan, while another said, “Is it possible to watch The Call on Netflix without screaming?”
Others rewatched the movie and loved it just as much the second time round, particularly thanks to Berry’s performance.

“Rewatching The Call and the way Halle Berry is actTIng!!! I love it,” wrote one, with another adding: “Halle Berry in The Call gives me CHILLZZZZ.”
A third simply wrote: “The Call and Halle Berry is perfection.”
And, of course, we can’t discuss the resurgence without giving an honourable mention to Berry’s wig, which has received just as many comments online.

“The POWER that this wig has,” said a fan. “This wig brings people, families, and the nation together…”
High praise indeed, and don’t think the star herself hasn’t noticed - taking to Twitter last week, she joked about the flick going viral out of nowhere, writing: “….so The Call is the No. 1 movie on @netflix right now, nearly 10 years after it’s release. Are y’all OK?”
Netflix responded to Berry’s post with the following message: “Halle + Netflix is clearly a winning combination!”

Clearly, the internet agrees.
