Miley Cyrus speaks out over possibility of playing Dolly Parton in biopic

In a new interview, singer Miley Cyrus joked about how she has emulated Dolly Parton throughout her career

In a new interview, singer Miley Cyrus joked about how she has emulated Dolly Parton throughout her career, and was even asked about a biopic.

For those not aware, Dolly is in fact Miley's godmother because of her friendship with Miley's dad Billy Ray Cyrus.

The pair are even joining forces this holiday season alongside a host of other actors and singers, as they perform in Dolly Parton's Magic Christmas show.

Anyway, Miley was asked about playing Dolly in a potential future biopic on the legendary singer.

And speaking to E! News, Miley did not shy away from the possibility of playing her godmother.

She said: "I don't know what they're gonna do to me. I'm sucked, I'm tucked and plucked, just like she taught me.

"Me and Dolly have never really spoken, honestly, about me playing Dolly because I feel like I'm already doing it."

Alongside Dolly's Christmas special, the duo are also teaming up for the annual Miley's New Year's Eve Party.

Miley teased it would be very different to last year's first show with co-host Pete Davidson.

She said: "Because we do something similar, we get to do a really different show than we did last year.

"And that's what me and Lorne [Michaels] really want is every year, to do it in a way that's exactly what you want, but not what you would expect."

Miley also told fans to not get worried if things don't go to plan during the show, as last year featured a fair few wardrobe malfunctions.

She said: "Anything that would ever happen, I know she could pick up.

"Anyone watching at home would never notice that something happened, that it wasn't planned to."

That show follows Dolly's show - Dolly Parton's Magic Christmas.

Speaking of the show in a teaser video, Dolly said: "It’s the story of the behind the scenes of the making of a network special.

"It’s like a show within a show, a movie within a movie. It’s like really showing what can go wrong and will go wrong. There’s so much drama, so much craziness."
