Joe Jonas has become the latest musician to remove a Diddy-related verse from one of his songs.
The 54-year-old rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, has been under public scrutiny ever since his ex-girlfriend - R&B singer Cassie, real name Cassandra Ventura - took him to court in November 2023, accusing him of sexual and physical abuse that she claimed went on for years.
However, the lawsuit was settled in just a day, though the terms of that settlement haven't been made public. At the time, Diddy's attorney made it clear that the settlement was not an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

Then in March 2023 Combs' homes in Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida, were subject to raids by Homeland Security 'as part of an ongoing investigation'.
As part of those raids around 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube was discovered, according to federal prosecutors, as the rapper is alleged to have held frequent 'freak-off' parties.
Speaking at the time, Diddy's attorney, Aaron Dyer, said: "Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way."

Combs was later arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York, on September 16 and charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion - charges of which he has pleaded not guilty to.
Lawyer Marc Agnifilo remains adamant that the decision to arrest and charge Combs is 'unjust' and told UNILAD his client is 'not a criminal' and 'looks forward to clearing his name in court'.
However, a number of musicians have since chosen to remove the hip hop mogul's name from their songs.
The latest to tweak their lyrics is DNCE star Joe Jonas after he previously dropped 'Diddy' in the dance-rock band's 'Cake by the Ocean' hit.

The original lyrics to the 2015 song read: "Walk for me, baby / I’ll be Diddy, you’ll be Naomi, woah-oh'," which referenced Diddy and Naomi Campbell's rumored relationship back in the 2000s.
However, during a recent performance with the Jonas Brothers in Lyon, France, the singer omitted Diddy's name.
Kesha also altered the introduction of her hit song 'Tik Tok' from her debut album Animal, when she appeared at Coachella back in April.

The original lyrics say: "Wake up in the mornin' feeling like P. Diddy."
Instead, she sang: "Wake up in the morning like, 'F*** P. Diddy."
After re-recording the song Kesha permanently altered it last month.
While Maren Morris also altered one of her songs, with 'Rich' now omitting Diddy's name.

It used to go: “Boy, I’d be rich, head to toe Prada / Benz in the driveway, yacht in the water / Vegas at the Mandarin, high roller gambling / Me and Diddy drippin’ diamonds like Marilyn."
