When you think of superfoods your mind might naturally go to red meat, spinach and grass.
Okay, maybe not grass, but there's enough of it out there and cows seem to enjoy it. Well, a nutritionist will argue against those choices, suggesting that two fruits make the list.
I'll quickly clarify that I'm using the term 'superfood' quite loosely, as Dr Eric Berg, a chiropractor who specializes in healthy ketosis and intermittent fasting, has previously surprisingly claimed that red meat is in fact a superfood.

Clare Jennings may disagree, having worked alongside Presscription, a healthy cleansing juice company, she has highlighted the three ingredients you may want to incorporate into your diet.
So, without further ado, let's dive straight into it.
I know this better than most people, lemons do in fact force toxins out of our bodies. How I know this is because I used to have a large cyst on me that a dermatologist once spotted while I was traveling on the tube in London, England.

They explained that I should be trying to incorporate more lemons into my diet, at least a glass of lemon juice a day I was told, as the acidic nature of the fruit may help combat the build-up in the cyst.
I did and it went on its own, although there's no scientific evidence to suggest the process works.
Anyway, Jennings told the Daily Mail: "Lemons are a detox staple. Forming the basis of many detox juices because of their natural cleansing and alkalising properties.

"High in vitamin C, lemons help support liver function and digestive efficiency, which are both essential for your body to clean itself.
"Hydration, which a lemon's nutrients help to boost, also plays a huge role in mental clarity."
Adding: "Adding lemon water to your morning routine helps rehydrate your body and switch the brain on after its relaxed while you sleep."
Next up we have blueberries, they can easily be incorporated into your diet through a bowl or cereal or yoghurt in the morning, while nutritionist Jennings explained that it is loaded with 'flavonoids that support cellular repair'.

They then fight the toxins that build-up in our bodies for several reasons - stress, diet or even our surroundings, all while helping our brains process information faster - including our memory support, the expert adds.
The odd one out, our vegetable - which according to Jennings is a ‘natural detoxifier’.

She added: "[Broccoli] one of the most powerful detox-supporting vegetables. It’s especially rich in sulforaphane, a compound that stimulates the liver’s natural cleansing enzymes and help the body flush out waste."
It also works for our brains, Jennings added: "[It is] packed with antioxidants that protect brain cells from free radical damage. Over time, consumption of these antioxidants can support clearer thinking, better focus, and a stronger memory."
