Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has ripped into Elon Musk after the tech billionaire said she isn't 'smart'.
Musk's foray into the Democrat's intelligence came following her comparison of the US migrant crisis to Ellis Island’s immigration.
The US representative for New York’s 14th congressional district posted a video claiming that immigrants illegally entering the country is ‘nothing’ compared to the number of people who came in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

“The numbers — when it comes to people coming to New York City today — are nothing, I’m telling you, nothing, compared to the daily amounts of people that we saw coming in through Ellis Island in the first half of [last] century,” Ocasio-Cortez said in the video posted to her Instagram account.
She added that more than ‘12 million immigrants passed through Ellis Island between 1892 and 1954.’
She added: “We had seen just huge numbers of people coming in per day that far eclipsed what we’re seeing right now."

However, once the video began making the rounds on Twitter, it seems the Tesla CEO wasn’t too impressed.
Musk simply responded to the clip: “She’s just not that smart.”
However, Ocasio-Cortez had mic-drop response to the 52-year-old, writing: "I wasn’t born rich and became the youngest woman in American history to be elected to Congress.
"Then I investigated Cohen, authored the largest FEMA funeral assistance program in history and led creation of a US Climate Corps to create tens of thousands of new jobs.

"Stay mad."
This isn’t the first time the billionaire has trolled the 33-year-old.
Last year, shortly after the SpaceX founder launched the Twitter Blue subscription, Ocasio-Cortez posted: "Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that 'free speech' is actually an $8/mo subscription plan.”

To which he responded: "Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.”
Following the heated exchange, the politician claimed she had issues with the social media platform account.
“Also my twitter mentions/notifications conveniently aren’t working tonight, so I was informed via text that I seem to have gotten under a certain billionaire’s skin. Just a reminder that money will never b[u]y your way out of insecurity, folks,” she wrote.
She then went on to allege that the ‘Verified’ tab of her account, which should include tweets from verified creators, was empty.

“This is what my app has looked like ever since my tweet upset you yesterday. What’s good? Doesn’t seem very free speechy to me,” she added.
