Police have issued an update after Scott Shriner's wife, Jillian Shriner, was shot and arrested for attempted murder this week.
On Tuesday (April 8), police attended an incident at Eagle Rock in Los Angeles, following reports of a hit-and-run on the 134 Freeway.
While searching for three suspects - who had allegedly fled the scene - cops discovered a woman who was allegedly armed with a handgun outside her home.

The woman, who turned out to be Jillian Shriner, who is married to Weezer's bassist, Scott Shriner, apparently refused to drop the weapon and allegedly went on to point the handgun at officers.
An officer then opened fire, hitting Jillian on the shoulder.
Following the incident, police have issued a new update, explaining that Jillian allegedly fired her weapon at officers during the stand-off.

“Our investigation revealed evidence such as a shell casing and video footage showing she repeatedly ignored police commands to disarm and that she fired her weapon at LAPD officers,” Jennifer Forkish, LAPD Director of Communications, told NBC News.
The New Jersey-born author then went back inside her home after being shot before returning and surrendering with another woman, later identified as the family's babysitter, before being treated at a local hospital for a non-threatening gunshot wound.
Cops have since booked Jillian for attempted murder in connection with the incident with police.
However, LAPD added that no officers or other civilians were injured during the shootout and that Jillian was not involved in the hit-and-run report.

Both Jillian and the babysitter have now been released from custody, with Jillian being released on a $1 million bond, NBC New York reports.
Jillian tied the knot with Shriner in 2005, with the bassist joining the rock band Weezer in 2001 after replacing Mikey Welsh.
The couple have since adopted two children.

Shriner has given an update on his wife's condition and said she is 'alright' after the shootout.
Speaking outside their home on Thursday (April 10), the 59-year-old told reporters (via The New York Post): "She's alright, thank you for asking."
He also took the opportunity to promote his band's upcoming show, adding: "See you at Coachella."
Scott's comments come amid concern that Weezer would have to pull out of the Indio, Californian festival this weekend in the wake of the shocking arrest.

As for the hit-and-run that cops were initially investigating, police eventually caught up with one of the suspects near the intersection of Waldo Place and Eagle Vista Drive.
He is expected to be charged with felony hit and run, reports CBS News.
A woman who was involved in the crash on the freeway was taken to hospital after suffering moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, the other two suspects in the crash, believed to be male, have not yet been found, according to police.
UNILAD has contacted Weezer's rep for comment.
