A mother-of-the-bride has come under fire for her choice of dress during her daughter’s wedding, and she’s hit back at the haters.
To be honest, I don’t think many people care what you wear to a wedding unless it’s white or a garbage bag, but it seems like online commenters have different opinions.
In a video which was shared to Instagram by wedding content creator Chloe LeBlanc, the footage of a mom arriving at her daughter’s wedding has caused a stir.

Lori DeWitt was shown walking down the aisle with one of the groomsmen in a stunning silky number, and it caught the wrong kind of attention.
Her dress was a custom Audrey + Brooks floral dress with a plunging neckline and large bow and train at the back which is detachable.
Her daughter Amanda DeWitt Leblanc was wearing a Romona Keveza off-the-shoulder trumpet gown, which was swapped out for two other numbers throughout the night.

Both the 53-year-old and 26-year-old looked amazing, so what’s the issue?
Well, people believed that she was trying to upstage the bride- her own daughter.
In the comments people wrote a list of complaints, but others loved her style too.

One person wrote: “She’s trying to upstage her daughter.”
Another penned: “Wow. Couldn’t she let her daughter be the bigger deal that day?!!! If my mother did that I’d send her back to change.”
Someone else wrote: “She wanted to be the star obviously!”
A fourth said: “Ridiculously low cut. Beautiful fabric, trashy cut for a wedding. Period.”

But one person was thrilled by her look, writing: “If my mom doesn’t do this she has to go home. I would be p*ssed if she did anything less!!!”
Another echoed: “You go Mom!! You look fabulous!! I can’t wait until my daughter gets married! I wanna look just like you!!”
Someone else wrote: “I love this so much! I want my Mom to feel So beautiful on my wedding day, ya’ll are cray.”

Even the wedding content creator, LeBlanc loved the dress and typed up on the reel: “The most stunning MOB dress we’ve ever seen!!!!”
Well, it turns out that DeWitt wasn’t aware of the hate train against her and spoke to Today about it.
She said: "We didn’t realize my dress was going to spark a debate, but we’re laughing about it.
“I’m the last person you’d expect to go viral. I don't even post photos!"
According to the mother and daughter, the pair bought their dresses on a shopping trip to New York City, and DeWitt even picked it out for her!
She confirmed to the publication: “I love what she wore.
“My mom looked absolutely stunning.
“It was just as much her day as it was mine.”
So, people can hop off the hate train at the next stop.
